The TSURINOYA SPIRIT FOX 50 is an ultralight baitcasting reel designed around bait finesse and light-lure casting. Weighing approximately 142g, it combines a carbon fibre frame and side cover with a lightweight 8.5g hollow spool, magnetic braking and an 8+1 sealed bearing system.

Available in 5.6:1 and 7.3:1 gear-ratio configurations, the SPIRIT FOX provides options for both moderate and faster lure retrieval. A 4kg maximum drag, carbon drag washer, ceramic line guide and carbon handle complete the lightweight configuration.

Ultralight 142g Construction

The SPIRIT FOX uses a carbon fibre frame and side cover to reduce overall reel weight, bringing the complete reel to approximately 142g.

This lightweight construction is particularly suited to finesse lure setups where a compact reel is paired with a light rod for repeated casting throughout a fishing session.

8.5g Lightweight Spool

A key component of the SPIRIT FOX's bait-finesse design is its 8.5g hollow spool.

Reducing spool mass is particularly relevant when casting lighter lures, as less mass needs to be accelerated at the beginning of the cast. The spool is supported at both ends by Japanese NMB bearings, according to the supplier.

Magnetic Braking System
