Lightweight Carbon Construction
The body, rotor and side plate are constructed from carbon fibre, reducing overall reel weight while maintaining a rigid reel structure.
With the lightest configuration weighing approximately 156g, the Carbon X II is particularly suited to lure fishing where repeated casting throughout the day can make overall rod-and-reel weight more noticeable.
Carbon Fibre Drag System
The reel uses an upgraded carbon fibre drag system paired with a reinforced stainless steel main shaft.
Supplier-rated maximum drag varies by size:
- 1000: 4kg / 8.8lb
- 2000: 10kg / 22lb
- 3000: 10kg / 22lb
10+1 Bearing System
Each Carbon X II features 10+1 double-sealed stainless steel bearings. The sealed bearing construction is designed to provide additional protection for the bearing components from external contaminants.
Direct-Drive Handle
A CNC-machined aluminium handle screws directly into the reel and is paired with an EVA handle knob for grip during retrieval.
Suitable Fishing Applications
Depending on the selected reel size and your rod, line and lure combination, the Carbon X II is suited to:
- Bream
- Whiting
- Flathead
- Trout
- Redfin
- Light estuary lure fishing
- Soft plastics
- Hardbody lures
- Freshwater spinning
- River and lake fishing
- General light-tackle lure fishing
The 2000 and 3000 sizes provide the higher supplier-rated 10kg drag capacity for anglers wanting a lightweight reel with additional drag capability, while the 1000 is the more compact option for finesse setups.

Very smooth, beautiful, and the weight and quality is impressive
.
Awesome reel for the money. feels well made so far (time will tell!). super smooth reeling action and drag. lightweight. i paired it with a new tsurinoya virent 702l and it's easily my favourite ul rig. will be interested to test it alongside some new tsurinoya reels in the same class after i receive them. have several daiwa fuegos (which i love), and the carbon x ii is nearly on par with them. lighter and smoother than the daiwas, but not quite the same feel of overall build quality (but still excellent for the price). cheaper price than fuegos also. overall great little reel and i've not had any issues with it.
Everything is great! Thank you very much.
