The Mavllos GW-F6 Spinning Reel is a versatile reel series covering everything from lightweight freshwater and estuary setups through to heavier saltwater, rock and boat fishing.

Available in sizes 1000 through to 7000, the F6 combines a 7+1 stainless steel bearing system, precision zinc-alloy gearing and a 5.1:1 gear ratio for a smooth, controlled retrieve.

Depending on reel size, the series offers 8–20kg of maximum drag, using a wool-felt drag system designed to deliver progressive pressure when fighting fish. Larger models provide the additional drag and capacity required for heavier Australian saltwater applications.

The reel also features a screw-in metal handle, eliminating the traditional through-shaft handle connection and creating a more direct feel between the handle and gearing. The handle can be configured for left- or right-hand retrieve.

For saltwater use, Mavllos incorporates a sealed body structure, stainless steel bearings and corrosion-resistant components designed to reduce the intrusion of saltwater, sand and debris.

Saltwater Care

Although the F6 uses sealed construction and corrosion-resistant components, no spinning reel should be treated as maintenance-free after saltwater exposure. Lightly rinse the exterior with fresh water after use, avoid directing high-pressure water into the reel, and allow it to dry thoroughly before storage.
