Built for long casts and hard-fighting saltwater species, this Sinking VIB Pencil Lure combines a compact baitfish profile with substantial weight, making it an excellent option when you need to reach distant feeding fish or get a lure down through the water column.

Available in two very different sizes — 39g / 135mm and a heavyweight 125g / 160mm — the range covers everything from lighter shore and boat casting through to serious offshore presentations for tuna and other large pelagics.

The weighted sinking body produces a vibrating swimming action while allowing anglers to control fishing depth through sink time and retrieve speed. Each lure is fitted with two single hooks, providing a purpose-built saltwater configuration straight from the packet.

With multiple reflective baitfish colour patterns available, these lures are designed to create plenty of flash and visibility when worked through open water.

Which Size Should You Choose?

39g DW661: The more versatile casting option. At 135mm and 39g, it's well suited to chasing tailor, salmon, bonito, queenfish, smaller tuna and trevally from the shore or boat.

125g DW660: The serious offshore option. At 160mm and 125g, it's better matched to heavier tackle, deeper water, stronger current and larger pelagics such as tuna, Spanish mackerel, kingfish and GT.

How to Fish It

For pelagics, cast beyond or alongside bait schools and surface activity, allow the lure to reach the required depth and retrieve it back through the strike zone. Changing between fast retrieves, pauses and rod movements lets you alter the presentation depending on how aggressively the fish are feeding.

The heavier 125g version can also be worked vertically from the boat when fish are holding deeper in the water column.
